Message
from Mr Anthony WILSON
President,
Hong Kong Institute of Value Management
I
would like to welcome all of our overseas visitors, friends
and colleagues to the 7th International Value Management
Conference, which this year coincides with the 10th anniversary
year of the Hong Kong Institute of Value Management.
We
are delighted to have the support of the Hong Kong Institute
of Surveyors and a generous contribution from the Government
sponsored PDAS scheme to make this event a success in bringing
new faces and professional ideas to Hong Kong. Individual
HKIVM members, as well as key members from the Housing
Department, City University and Architectural Services
Department, together with International Conference Consultants,
have formed a dynamic and hardworking team who have brought
together a wide cross section of value related topics to
broaden thinking on how to solve problems and get things
done whilst adding value to the processes. Presenters are
coming from all over the world to deliver papers on a range
of exciting topics and they will be very pleased to talk
with you during the conference breaks, lunches and at social
events. So please, do introduce yourself and communicate
freely and reap the undeniable benefits that the conference
provides.
Our
interactive session will provide everyone with the opportunity
to learn more about Value Management by experiencing part
of the process under the guidance of world-class facilitators.
Please enjoy this part of the programme and share your
knowledge, enthusiasm and good ideas with us all.
I
am sure that this conference will provoke a lot of thought,
generate new ideas and provide awareness to all of the
potential of Value Management and its related topics.
Thanks
to you all for attending, participating and contributing
to this key event of 2005 and to joining with us during
our 10th anniversary celebrations.
Message
from Mr T T CHEUNG
President,
The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors
The
Hong Kong Institute of Value Management and the Hong Kong
Institute of Surveyors have enjoyed a good working relationship
over the years. We share the common objectives of introducing
new knowledge and techniques, facilitating good practices,
and raising the professional standards of construction
in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
It
gives me great pleasure to welcome speakers, guests and
delegates from four corners of the world to take part in
the International Value Conference. With our local economy
showing positive signs of recovery, the Conference is particularly
timely. It is hoped that in the circumstances our participants
will get the best value out of the Conference.
May
I also take this opportunity to congratulate the Hong Kong
Institute of Value Management on their 10th year anniversary. |
