MEMBERSHIP

 

Introduction

Membership is open to individuals who have active and genuine interest in the promotion and applications of Value Management. The Institute's membership is made up of two different classifications and their requirements are as follows:

Type
Description
Member (MHKIVM)

This classification is available to individuals who can demonstrate an acceptable level of knowledge and experience in the field of Value Management.

For admission, details on the Application Form are to be completed and copy of CV outlining professional employment, experiences and value management background enclosed. Value Management Background incorporating details of VM training and courses in VM process, application and techniques, number of studies, types of studies, role in process, days and dates should be stated clearly in the CV.

Associate Member
(Students are encouraged to apply for Associate Membership)
The Associate Member classification is available to any individual who can demonstrate interest in the objectives of HKIVM, but may not have had sufficient Value Management experience to qualify as a Member. Once Associate Members have obtained sufficient exposure to and experience of Value Management, they are encouraged to apply for full membership.

 

Activities Provided for Members

Conferences
The Institute organises the international value managment conference on a regular basis.
Luncheon Meetings
The Institute organises eight luncheon meetings per year for members and non-members. On each occasion, speakers will be invited to share their experiences on Value Management or related areas.
Publications
The Institute publishes a newsletter entitled "Value Manager" on regular basis. Members will receive the newsletters free of charge. Members are also encouraged to send articles to the Institute for publication.
Lists of Value Management Facilitators
The Institute maintains lists of Value Management Facilitators for public and private clients in Hong Kong. Value management facilitators who want to be listed MUST BE members of the Institute.

 

Membership Fee

The Entrance Fee and Membership Upgrading Fee is HK$300 and the annual membership fees are as follows:
